HydroBox and GPS

Question: How many available COM ports will I need to operate my Hydrobox?

Answer: That depends on your application and whether or not you are using survey software. If you are not using survey software you could get by with two COM ports. One would be for connecting the Hydrobox sensor and one for your GPS. Read over additional FAQ’s regarding storing to .csv files.

For using survey software you would need a minimum of four COM ports (five preferred). An interconnection diagram named “Hbox-io-cable.pdf” shows how the COM ports are used and can be downloaded from the following location:
